Error in Mana World -- my game is now stuck!

Post by Human »

I went to the woodland town and tried to enter a building. I got an error that said no map file available, and the game crashed. Now every time I load the game, I get the same error and thus cannot play. Any help?

Are you using MacOS X? This problem is well known on Mac. It is caused because the updater is buggy on MacOS X. A workaround is to run the game with unpacked resource files. A guide how to do this can be found here:

May you pleas be more specific, appearently im in the same situation as the person who posted this thread. Cause, for example, there is no file with "quotation marks" for me to put "-u" behind.

I can't be more specific as long as you aren't more specific.

I guess you are referring to this paragraph:
Windows users can right-click on the tmw shortcut on their desktop and select Properties. In the field Target you find the path to your tmw executable in quotation marks. Add -u behind the quotation marks. It should now read something like that:
"D:\Programs\The Mana World\tmw.exe" -u
of the thread I linked above. I wonder why you don't reply there directly, by the way. When you haven't got a shortcut to TMW on your desktop you should create one.
