Hi guys,

I discovered The Mana World some days ago and as there are not that many music tracks yet, I decided to try and make one and, this is the result ;) :

I like your style of layering.

We have been in need of a proper composer for a very long time. I'd say you have the position if you're interested. I have some very grand visions about how the musical score should be, but so far we've had no one who would be willing to start the realization of it all.

This topic should tell a lot:

All I can say on top of that is welcome aboard.

Hi,
thanks for listening :)

I don't think I'm able to do really a lot of tracks for TMW, but I rather thought I could post a track every now and then when I feel like it's quite nice and would fit somewhere in the game.
And to be honest, I think your visions are a little too "grand" ;) Transition-music is IMO not really necessary - even for example WoW often just uses crossfades - and also themes that are used repeatedly will just develop when there is more music and people might make parts of their songs based on stuff from another one.

Well, my plans do start from just doing a theme for each area. Once that is done, the rest can be deemed either necessary or unnecessary.

Also one song per 3 or so months would already more than quadruple our current rate of musical productivity, so I don't really think you would be overly stressed.

I'd also like to have the score for the music along with the file.

Do you mean a midi-file? You can download it here

It's very nice to have the original (as in the notes) just in case for future usage.

Thank you.

If you have time at some point to continue producing music for us, just pick an area in the wiki and have a go at it.

I'll maybe import that midi file into FL Studio and see if I can interprete it with more natural-sounding instrument so that it doesn't sound that electronical.

...nah, doesn't really work out.

I can try to change the snare sound, which might also make it sound a little less electronic - I noticed it sounds really awful when you listen to it via headphones.

slightly changed version (you will probably only notice one difference ;)):

Sounds great! That would be a perfect add on for the music. Please make more!

This song would work great with the forest map tileset me and a few others (Saphy) are working on!
*len hisses at any other developer that comes too close*
