I've been checking some music posting and it looks like it is time to start a forum as "Music Development" may be we can encourage more work on this area...

Thank you for your interest,

I heard your music, I like "Tum Tum Oie" and " Funkadao"

But the game need more medieval/classic style, can you arrange something with your influence but a bit more slow and with the classic/medieval style ?

I'm curious about the outcome, and welcome !

Have you thought about using free music? For example, I believe some of the music on Jamendo is intended to be used in computer games.

I think in general we rather have our own music, so we can have a better fit for the maps and places. as you see we have our own pixel art, our own client/server development, backstory and why not our own music as well

Well, maybe some of the artists there would be interested in making music specifically for tmw?

Remember to vary throughout the music piece, I am already tired of the piece the 4th time I hear it in loop - sorry.

and try to make it a little more "alive".

EDIT: I did just visit your MySpace profile, and found some good numbers, so I can see you got the skills ;-)

Sorry, but this is not really what we are thinking about.

Just two instruments which don't fit together very well and the scores sound pretty random.

You should listen to the tracks posted by Dariunas in the new sound development forum. That guy is very skilled and it seems like he is going to replace most of the tracks we are currently using. So when you want to create tracks which fit into the game along his tracks you should try to create music in a style similar to his.

Other sources of inspiration could be old SNES games by Squaresoft (pay more attention to the composition and the combination of instruments than the instruments themself) or modern eastern-style MMORPG soundtracks.

I'm afraid we need to move this thread to Music Forum...
