If you are using gimp - notice that you can draw straight line using ctrl button while drawing.
Mark start point - hold colntrol - mark end point. Also you can you opacity feature to add some light reflex or dark shadows on blade, hilt, etc.

You might try and shade the blade better, and also lengthen and thin it.

Thats the problem, I don't know how to fix the blade, (I want a little sword so I wouldn't resize it)

Handle could use some decorating... though I'm not going to ask for anything so extravagant as a... carving of an eagle or something...

The handle is still a little rectangular. Maybe you could round it out a little bit.
