The ability to use sprites (and layer sprites, like players do), so animation is already taken care of, is what I'm talking about. Using any image is a big step forward, though. Is that 0.1 only, or will 0.0.25 allow it?

Yes, the new NPC graphics system has been backported from the 0.1 branch to the 0.0.x branch.

I am not sure if the old eAthena version we are using supports NPCs which move around but idle animations are already possible.

Also, what is up with George(The Pirate)'s eye. There is no pupil.

Maybe might as well have the tileset for the desert people changed to look more like the charset. They sit differently. And some NPCs are not to scale. I'm thinking that NPC clothes should be special but also maybe available to only 5% of the player population or less.

Maybe this, coud this and that. Let me summarize within the topic of this thread:

Playerset, playerset, playerset.

Mean that we should focus on the player set as a urgent matter and then anything else, in order to no stop the game development flow ?

Indeed, the playerset is mandatory for everything else in my opinion, everyone who's able to contribute to it should make efforts to its finalization.
Everyone else could work on the other content.

Regarding the playerset. Will it still be using the same number of frames or will there be a move to add more frames? Like different attack animations for one-handed, two-handed weapons, bows, etc.

At least a swing attack animation will have to be added to the playerset, maybe some more.

Its a sad fact of life that greed motivates!

Perhaps we should use that and hold an event if certain deadlines are met...

Example of an event might be monsters (excluding maggots and bats) have a 1 in 30 chance of dropping a yellow gift box Imagewhich when opened has a chance of giving you a random item (chances of getting a rare item very low)

I like the idea with random items. Me and some other players had the idea of treasures with random items, so the keys could be used for more than the short sword quest.

First post! Nice to talk to all of you guys, and congratulations on the awesome work on this project!

I've been checking out this forum for a while but could not find any other place that it would be more appropriate to post the following. They are a few of my own sprites initially designed for a menu system for my game which would never see the lights of day. I know they're not that good, but if you can mash them up and work your way with them, making them useful for something, then my mission will be more than done.

Hopefully this is resourceful!

PS: I'm not really a sprite artist! ;_;

Hello. I'm Sathard, and I am from Poland, so don't be angry if you can't understand some of my English, because I am not the greatest ;). That was offtopic (sorry). About this project I would ask if I can help in anything. I asked some developpers and game masters in TMW, and they said that help is everytime welcome. I joined this forum just today, and I promise, that I'll be active if you'll give me some work (graphic of course). So, what can I draw for you? I would like to ressurect this interesting topic. I don't really know if I'm a good pixelartist but I used to draw some and you can say that it's my hobby :).

hi, first of all your english is quite well. second: draw things which u think of that they could be useful in the game(like helmets, weapons, etc.) or draw stuff which only looks good(hats, etc.) or if u're a good pixel artist(not like me lol) draw tilesets for the map but i think the last point is the most difficult one ;)

This topic, though more than a year old, is fairly useful for people looking for work thats actually needed, like myself.

Please could you update a list of essential items?
