I've got the smallest model (I think about A6), while my younger brother bought one step bigger, he's quite a bit more into art than I am. I'm using mine mostly as mouse, heh, I don't draw a lot.

Do you know if is possible to keep a PS\2 mouse and a USB tablet at the same time (under xorg) and be able to switch whenever you want?

Yes xorg and xfree86, are both able to handle multiple pointer devices simultaneously. I mean just your wacom is already three devices: cursor (mouse), stylus (pen) and erasor (back of pen). GIMP should also recognize them as different tools, allowing you to custimize what they do separately I think. Even though I haven't seriously tried this yet.
