Try to make the blade a bit more round, instead of using straight lines.

Like this? It seems rounder to me... But it also looks like it has a chipped edge.

To fix that you have to use a program that can draw with an alpha channel. Most users here use GIMP while I use Paint .net. Both of these programs are free and can draw with an alpha channel. Now you delete the white background, after that you draw with alpha 127 a pixel at the place were the holes are:

...No, I lost you, but it looks like you used a lighter shade of grey and covered up the chips... Erm, might come in handy someday...
Anyway, I need to improve my lochaber axe, as it looks... dull...

I think they need decorations of some kind, but I'm out of ideas, and they seem too dull to me, in simple steel. Any ideas?
