A collection of pixellation tutorials

Post by Rotonen »

Please do this for the new ones so you do not constantly have to paste them around (and hence make the information scattered and not easy to find).

Please do it in the wiki.

We got a collection of tutorials on the wiki.
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/ ... #Tutorials
  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

A dedicated page for the tutorials, sectioned nicely per topic (directly into the actual tutorial pieces), sequenced from simple beginnings towards advanced issues for easy pasting around and convenience? Would make finding the crucial hint and next step a lot easier for new people. Would also instantly give people multiple opinions from skilled pixel artists on a topic.

Would bring some order and sense into the learning curve of our new pixel artist aspirants. We do also have the side project of being a free online pixel art school in my opinion. (At least it makes a lot of sense from the viewing point of our goals and quality demands. Also part of the collaborative open source spirit. Should go along with the open tile project of iru quite nicely.)

This in mind we should also (partially based on what is already out there) start to form our own tutorial in the wiki (sectioned per phase too).
