Magic Hats maybe

I was working on some new leg armor (96% completed) and stopped. Since the Player set could be changing I decided not to do any more on it. If it was just adding the swing animation then I would finish but I thought there might be a new sitting pose as well. So since hats don't change I made some more. :P

The first hat I made I was thinking Emperor but then I thought who else would ware a large over stated and pompous hat? A leader of a religious order tend to wear stuff like that so I used the name of a High Priest/Priestess Head Dress. They should give a high magic defense and a mid-rage regular defense. Maybe when we have the ability it could do an Int buff and only a mid -range magic defense buff.

The High Priest Headdress is worn by the leader of religious orders and cults. It is claimed that the Headdress helps in the communication with their Deity. (Long live Lazulli)

The next hat is an eviler looking hat with the same idea of high magic defense and mid-range regular defense. This one would not give an Int buff. I will also make a monster to go with it in the future.

The Monster Skull Helm is made from a creature long thought to be extinct in the Mana World. It's existence has become legends only known through the story's told to small children. The creatures bones were prized for its magic absorbing abilities making for powerful armor and weapons for fighting against magic.

They look good.

Please finish that new leg armor. Playerset development won't be finished for a while.

Instead of adding a skull helmet, can't we replace the skull in the desert (tileset) with that? IMO we have enough helmets.

In time I plan to make a monster based on the Skull helm.

Is it possible to give an int boost? Perhaps the top one could be an alchemist crown if we could.

Can't boost Int or any other buffs except def and magic def. Its a limition of eathina.

Well, actually you could have slots in the items and have cards in the slots.

That aside, you said you don't want to work on equipment because the playerset is a moving target. How about working on the playerset?

Yes, I remember christmas 06 where we made the ranger hat give a dex bonus.

As far as I know the ranger hat initially had some outrageous stat boni listed in the "Effect" textfield of the item description but none of these effects were implemented server-sided.

I did not say it was impossible, anything can be done if some is willing to wright the code so it will work. So my question is why has it not been used yet? Its not like its the first time this has been thought of.

The current eAthena based content development has a lot of untapped potential. Not many people so far have been interested in doing much anything for it.
