------------ EDIT -------------------
As any stolen/or directly copied work, that is not under General Public Licence wont be useful for project.
But there´s an example of ripped graphics than can become useful graphics.
Tilebase ripped from Star Ocean.

The ripped graphic example:
From star ocean, a set of a basic house modded to 32x32 to set with TMW proportions.

After we redraw all to get a new set based on geometric shapes, but with different textures and style.

The perspective of the roof/wall seems off.

I like the roof texture.

Welcome aboard.

some stuff has been removed and just use the most basic forms.
Also I will need more ideas for city stuff, maybe new plants or furniture.

I keep playing with tiled to see what more can I do, I´m not good with colors/lights so I will practice more on maps before fix graphics.

The tall plant NO and the small became a YES ^^

The tall looks not so good see other new plants

And by the way the black road textures have to hard white textures....

I mod the sizes to 32x32 to can try to map all with tiled,
this statement leads me to believe that you are unaware that TMW cant use such tiles

If they are from star ocean we have no use for them. Even if they are edited.

Thank you once again, Len. (Never played the Star Ocean saga myself.)

it would need to be from completely redrawn (and not use even one pixel of the original)

just do it over and use it as a reference
do not directly copy anything Space, Value, Shape, Line, Form, Texture, Color, or its DERIVATIVE WORK...Which I fear the dune might be, I don't fully understand copyright laws

"Whispers of Avalon" = possible new branch of TMW

In order to prove copyright infringement, the plaintiff must prove ownership of the copyright in the allegedly infringed work and copying of the work by the defendant. Assuming that the plaintiff is the proper owner, all that now needs to be proved is that the defendant copied the work. In a simple case, if the defendant admitted that they obtained a copy of the work and ran off copies of the work on a photocopier, this would be enough to find the defendant guilty of copyright infringement. This, however, is not the usual case, and there is rarely such solid proof of copying.

Because of this, courts have evolved a rule for finding copyright infringement when there is no proof of direct copying. Copying can be proven by showing both access to the work and substantial similarity of the allegedly infringing work to the copyrighted work. If the defendant can show there was no access to the work and, in fact, the work was created independently, there will be no copyright infringement even if the works appear to be an exact copy. Also, if the defendant knew about the work, but it is substantially different from the allegedly infringing work, there is no liability for copyright infringement.

they really need to define substantially different

I suspected that these graphics were ripped when pateme posted a complete tileset from the start without any planning, scetches or proto-work beforehand. But I decided not to say so openly because I had no real proof.

Thanks again to our walking pixel art database Len for spotting another ripper.

Well, now I accept to be a ripper... because all my ideas comes from all RPGs I have play.
It sounds dangerous to keep working when everything has a rippy part from squaresoft and friends.
I take the direct reference from star ocean, but as Len propose, all graphics must be different to can be used...
so, redraw all and create new textures doesnt be so hard, is it?

Whatever... speechless...
