Meway, your rocks suffer from pillow shading and the shell seems to be shaded with a filter effect or brush. This looks a bit out of place for a pixel art game like tmw.

well rocks are round. The shell was shaded with the burn tool, me just messing around with gimp. If you would read descriptions instead of just criting all the time you would see I'm working on variants of the shell. I believe i can fix the rocks to and extent but I think the lower edge of the rocks belong which happens not to be part of the shading.

Edit: try recoloring them

Hi Meway :

Is very important you listen and understand the advises from the developers, Crush is trying to help you with your development, the pillow effect need to be fixed on the rock, but as you can read on my previous posts I asked you to focus only on the starfish first until is done, there is still some issues with the shape and perspective.

I know is very difficult double and triple check what you consider is done, but that's exactly the way to improve, open your mind to all advises from good experts like Crush and other developers, they are only trying to help you.

So please focus on the starfish, it doesn't seems to be laying on the floor, I think you have to fix the two front tips (or legs, whatever) they have to be may be at the same high, play a little bit with that, until you can see is totally flat on the floor.

Once the starfish is done we can work with the tree trunk which seems to be promising.

Regards

Recolorisation is, although technically possible, very unpractical for tilesets. You shouldn't design map tiles with recolorable palettes.

oh sorry there just in a square tile to make it more convenient it is possible to put each rock into a separate one. Unless you like the formation already there.
