Hello all

I have been in talk with sugar of late, she changed her internet provider to south slope.net (fibre optics). Since than she has had great high speed but cant connect to the game. We are wondering if the ip is blocked due to players from the past. Her ip is 208.126.59.secret) .
Could someone please check if this ip is blocked or at the least , pm me for more info!

It's not blocked by any of our login-server's deny rules.

IP blocking was a great "fun eraser" used "at discretion" against some players.

It's plain sad to hear it affects now some historical player such as Sugar : maybe it's time for a more fair attitude towards the average users ?

Medave has been on IRC recently and stated everyone on his ISP/area is blocked from platinum.

it's supposed to be a helpful community & not a WWF wrestling ground other than pvp XD. If players enjoy the community accordingly, i dont see any reason that admin want to apply ban hammer or so. Try to understand the limitations. and new players wont easily understand it.

tolerable and positive attitudes from all sides are mostly welcomed. things could be worse....

Blocking of IP ranges was a necessary measurement against people trying everything to destroy the game like for example:
- distributed denial-of-service attacks against the whole network TMW is placed in making not only gameserver and website unusable but also hurting other projects hosted on linux.platinum.pl
- creating and logging in with hundreds of characters at once to make the server unplayable
- flooding the forum with porn pictures

My ISP is south slope. Im sorry this is not the problem. Sugar lives not to far from me lol.

Thanks to all those that attempted to help me resolve my connection issues. Ended up purchasing a VPN to connect. Hopefully my internet provider can resolve the connection problem in time.
BTW.. I promise to stop flooding the forum with porn too.
