Debian and Debain derived packages (Was: "LInux users read")

Post by Harkat »

Hey guys Im playing TMW in wine but Im not satisfied with performance and there are some glitches (Not TMW's fault). My brother can make Debs which if you do not know it is the equivalent of an exe file ( executable). This means you just double click it and it will install the software(in this case TMW) but, he is very busy with work and college. He told me if I can get 3 small donations on his site he will make a 64bit deb for TMW 0.52 and if he gets 5 He will also make a 32bit DEB. I cannot afford this as I am 13 but hopefully people on this forum can afford even 3€ or greater.

Post below how much you donated if you did.

Reason: Topic altered to be more descriptive. Donation link removed as the cause was redundant, the link contains session data, and the link did not work in any case.

Which Distribution are you using?

Most of the distributions already have packages in their software repositories.

(If you are using a not supported distribution, you might consider compiling yourself
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/ ... ompilation )

It is easier than you think it is.
Just ask people in irc irc://irc.themanaworld.org/themanaworld

That won't be necessary.

Given your description of *.deb files, it would appear you are using a Debian derived distribution, likely either Debian itself or Ubuntu. Both of which already provide 0.5.2-2 mana packages for a variety of architectures.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/mana

You may find download links for your architecture near the bottom of the page on either site.
