After enable OpenGL game doesn't start

Post by Sordi »

Hey. When I downloaded this game for Ubuntu and first time play it I wanted to do a char. Everything was good but when I reach a sex choose female was blocked. I go into option and select "Enable OpenGL" after it my game doesn't start.
What should I do now?

Add --no-opengl to the command line arguments.

Note that, if you are still using the TMW 0.0.29.1 client, you will no longer be able to play as of sometime between January and April 2012.

Gender is attached to the account, not the individual character.
So, each character you create is forced to have the gender of the account.

You can change the gender of all characters on your account by visiting a certain NPC with a little money ...

Why would you run TMW in virtualbox? (unless you were on a Windows host - some applications run faster in a Linux VM than on Windows natively)

In any case, the same instructions apply.

actually the client attacks better in windows...sad but true...control + A targets and does not move player or cycle targets
I try to use as many ports as possible to play.
but if wow and elder scrolls ported to linux I wouldn't even bother =]

Are you sure you haven't checked the "cycle targets" option?

no. but I wouldn't check that option ever, is this setting saved server side so that using another client would change it?...say mana plus default? cuz idk
It did this with extra players...changed my default first three chars by moving the 4th char into the 3 position baring me from a level 62 char when using the official client

yay that fixed it open run paste the results of find target and add --no-opengl

No, practically nothing is saved server side.
