If anyone needs the .deb for Ubuntu version of linux. Let me know. It took me a long while to learn how to compile. And since the current .deb seems to not be working on the website, maybe someone can upload mine? I don't know.

If anyone is interested send me a PM and hopefully i'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Normally Bertram manages our .deb releases. Please try to get into contact with him about why the current .deb isn't working and how this problem may be solved.

Simon K. Rosenaa (aka Artificial Intelligence) emailed me an Ubuntu Dapper package that should work. It is now available on our downloads page:

I have a generic PPC ubuntu dapper .deb, if anyone wants it.

However when I run it on my laptop, my character always moves downwards :( Is it possible to compile without joystick support?

Ubuntu (dapper) PowerPC build. Works on G3 (and presumably more powerful) ppc chips.

Tested on Pismo G3 powerbook @ 400mhz.

The .deb I compiled doesn't have openGL support, but it runs fine on a 400mhz g3, so I don't know what the openGL support is for, or whether it causes any benefit. I can do one with openGL support if its needed.
