Guild members not showing up purple

Post by chaslinux »

So for the last few versions Guild members don't show up in purple as they used to. Other colors seem to work just fine (GMs/my character), it's just Guild members. Tried changing the color for Guild members, did a reinstall.

Using Debian/Ubuntu version on Xubuntu 12.10 on a Compaq 6710b with 2GB RAM. Manaplus 1.3.2.3.

Cheers!

Do you see guild tab as "Guild" with yellow/orange color or "guild" with black?
If second look like guild bot integration disabled. To enable it connect to server, and in settings in misc tab in "bots support" set checbox "enable guild bot integration ...", but only if you already in game, because this option depend on connected server.

It also happens that guild bot fails to answer when you connect. Generally things get normal after a moment, but, if not, type:

Code: Select all

/w guild !getonlineinfo 123
and everything goes back to what they should be.
There is also a reminder of this trick on CRC welcome page under the "crew times" Banner.
Edit: Also, Slimor was kind enough to write a wiki page about "guild": http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Guild. The page contains this information along with the different clients support.
"The language of everyday life is clogged with sentiment, and the science of human nature has not advanced so far that we can describe individual sentiment in a clear way." Lancelot Hogben, Mathematics for the Million.
“There are two motives for reading a book; one, that you enjoy it; the other, that you can boast about it.” Bertrand Russell, Conquest of Happiness.
