Ok, so I was confused about how to do this with the mana client so I'm going to make a post about it on the forum. Thanks again to freeyorp who helped me figure out what I was doing wrong.
So here is what you do. Make a folder(directory) named "customdata" in the same folder your "updates" folder is in. and than put your custom zip files in that. Here check out desert hurnscald for example. put this zip folder inside your folder named "customdata"

Well genereally the manasource doc should be the first place to look if you have questions about how that client works

Blackstorm: It is linked from our main page (http://manasource.org). It only is a developer / technical documentation not a player one.
