For whatever reason this morning I was not getting any job exp. I don't know if I bumped a button or what but if you could please help and tell me how to fix it would be great thanks.

Do you have any focussing skills, that are not level 9 or can be raised to level 9 by using the skill points you currently have left?
If no, then this is the reason.

it might be nice to tell new guys this i had to learn all about how to do that on wiki cause the game don't teach you now i wasted the focus on brawling cause that was the only choice it gives you i think there needs to be more info in the game about developing this instead of punishing the new guy for being ignorant

true, we lack a bug tracker. Most of the problems you experience in game are not due to the will of "punishing" new players but rather due to LOTS of things to do. The good thing about our wikis is, that people who haven't learnt how to directly contribute to the games source and content, can help make it more playable.

Also i got to learn that players are more willing to spend time reading the wiki, than the npc dialogue :alt-6:

well i don't think its a bug it is a lack of info in the game about a very important aspect of char development i know you guys have alot to do and i really appreciate that this is free but it is frustrating i have started over with a new char my old 1 was lvl 47. the game is cool and thanks to everyone who is involved. just wanted to let you guys know

I was facing the same problem as OP while leveling up an alt character, opened the forums, found this thread and Cassy's solution worked, thanks :alt-3:

In my case, I had skipped the "Focusing Skills" & "Brawling Skill" quests and my character remained stuck on job level 2. It shouldn't be like this, a newbie not reading the Wiki may not come to know that Luca has a quest (since in the beginning he only talks about black scorpion) and when at an advance level the player may come to know, s/he would have already missed the job points.

The best is to get more dialogues from Npcs than a Wiki.

Suggestion for the first skill with the Npc Luca at Tulimshar: Luca should say back to see him again when you have more jobs experiences. So the players will not forget to come back later to get the first skill focussing from Luca.

Absolutely agreed, therefore:

So my character recently attained Job Level : 2. (Yayyy)
This in turn awarded him a Skill Point. (Yayyy, again.)
I clicked on the Up button and assigned that one point to Brawling.... (Fail)

Is that 1 skill point important enough to re-roll my character so that when I earn it again it can be more appropriately assigned?

Nah, later in the game you'll get skill points faster than you need them ;)
You'll be able to have all skills on Level 9 pretty early.

Luca already gives a hint if you are between 25 and 35, it would be nice to extend it.
