I use the latest version of Mana plus client. When I'm not connected to internet without knowing I try to connect to server in Mana plus client and it takes forever to connect or cancel. I've lost the background picture in Mana plus login after we had a powercut while I'm playing.

Server down, or slow responding.
If you mean it stuck in requesting characters, this is well known server bug. Try other account.

This long waiting time, because manaplus using system network timeouts. In linux most time it 4 minutes.
