Since some weeks with every start of the game I read the message, that there should be an update. But there is still no update. On http://manaplus.org/repository Jessie is not listed, while older and newer distributions are listed. There are also may distributions which are not supported anymore. Jessie is LTS (Supported until 2020/4).

jessie is in the apt repo: http://repo.evolonline.org/manaplus/dists/jessie/

what is written on the wiki is just an example, just change "DIST" for "jessie"

...but yes, it seems the repo hasn't been updated for the latest release

Install deb file from here http://manaplus.org/ubuntu and it will add repository.
supported debian starting from squeeze to sid
ubuntu from lucid to cosmic
and some mint versions (some because mint renaming actual ubuntu name to own, and need add all this names separatly)

The repository is added since many years.

That's the problem. May be it has not been added to that repo because Jessie is not listed in the wiki.
