hi, im a new player, everytime i try to play the game i get a message error, heres the url, i play the version 0.20

Change to 0.0.21.1 then.

im getting a simular error on ubuntu edgy.. but i have the latest version it seems..
i got the package from the ubuntu edgy repo that was listed on the download page.

Dam! Same problem.

The latest version is 0.0.22

When you are still using 0.0.21.1 you should change the updatehost in the config.xml to http://updates.themanaworld.org

But it is generally better to get the most recent version. You should download the 0.0.22 sourcecode, all the dependencies and build it yourself.
