Ok so now for those of you trying to figure out how to edit or test new maps on Linux,
----------------
Don't forget to update using this guide...
http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopic.php?t=2617
And also dont forget these pictures to be added to:
>> /usr/share/tmw/data/graphics/tiles/ <<
<img src="http://www.crushnet.org/TempFiles/tmw/desert2.png" border="0">
<img src="http://www.crushnet.org/TempFiles/tmw/desert_x3.png" border="0">
<img src="http://www.crushnet.org/TempFiles/tmw/desert_x5.png" border="0">
----------------
----------------
You need to go to your User file located under
/home/*user name*/.tmw/config.xml
And edit the file to say:
option name="updatehost" value=""
This will give you an error on the update page. (Just so you know)
in order to prevent the update process and load maps locally. (So you can see the new maps and not the ones off the server)
----------------
This should get you going on Linux, for those of you on windows if you need help message me.
If this post needs to be taken down please tell me why...
My last one disappeared and I just wanted to help.

Re: New map veiwing and Editing on Linux
What is the EASIEST way to setup a Linux Web Server? I have a need to host some web sites, and have been trying to do so with an evaluation copy of Server 2k3. And while I have been able to get more than a few simple sites up, I am having trouble doing anything advanced, like setting up a simple in and out bound mail server, or getting PHP scripts to run.

Most linux distros come with a LAMP (linux, apache, mysql, php) installation option so everything just works out of the box and you can build on top of that.
