ssh tunneling

Post by akkishore »

hi all,

i am behind a firewalled network... however i do have an outside box to which i can only ssh. hence i require the details for what ports i should set up tunneling for...

i have already got some info from this forum and setup forwarding for ports 5122, 6122, 6901. with these three i have been able to register and login (login as in i get the 'select server' box) but as soon as i hit 'ok' it says disconnected. i have gone through logs and setup forwarding for two more ports 59927 and 62746. but this still didnot help.

a brief detail of the server connect process should be enough... any pointers/help for this?

thanks in advance,
kishore

Better install yourself a socks proxy on the target host.

Regards.

Those 3 ports you listed are the only ones required to connect to server.themanaworld.org.
Maybe the log provides some useful info?

Perhaps different ports are needed for updates.themanaworld.org? That always fails on my computer that is behind a very restrictive firewall.
