Extra Damage

Post by feline monstrosity »

I'm using client v0.0.25.
Occasionally a monster I'm fighting will do me much more damage than it should. It appears that a number is added on before the usual number, for instance a monster which usually does me 1 damage will do 11 or 21 (usually low numbers, I've never had 71 or 81). Rudolph slimes, which usually hit me for 6 or 7 sometimes hit for 36. This never happened when I used v0.0.24.

Usually called critical hits?

And yes, we should have a more powerful sound effect for those and also a more powerful graphical indicator of what happened so it would be more obvious.

Really? Were they not implemented on 0.0.24.1 then? I'm talking about stumpies which only have an attack of 7-10 and I'm level 42! (Defense 47).

When I implemented that critical hits were shown at all (a while ago you just lost hit points without any damage popping up) I just displayed them like normal hits without any special effect.

Adding a more pompouse particle effect to them shouldn't be a problem.
