Playdeb beta launched

Post by Ces »

Well, since I mentioned this on the irc channel a few days ago I thought I should mention it here as well, now when the beta is launched.

In short. Getdeb, a resource for (newer) packages not in Ubuntu, has todat opened a repository for games. While TMW is not in there yet, they are open to suggestions and contributions.

If TMW is in there and Playdeb gets enough attention it will surely help bringing more recent client versions to the Ubuntu player base.

(Not sure if this is the best forum... Nearly posted it in Off topic or Suggestions.)

Well, I forgot about this thread, but Bjørn made me recall it when he mentioned PlayDeb (which is in Beta 2 currently) on irc.

The latest TMW client is available on playdeb.net (only 9.04 Jaunty for now). You can either install it directly or add the playdeb repository and use your dedicated package manager.
