hi,
my wooden shield unequips by itself when i try the golden stinger quest (so less defense...).
This "bug" maybe influences the quest for the man always says he got me when i offer him a beer: so that i can't beat him.
i can't determine wether it is related or not.

ps: i play on 2 computers one on linux ubuntu & the second at work with Xp !!!!

No, shield have no influence on arm wrestling.

yes i know! that s just because the shield UNequips when i try the arm wrestling!!!
...unfortunately i can t get him drunk or whatsoever to beat him...
