Well i just tried to install it on my AA1 with the Linpus/Fedora 8 repository. Unfortunately it is Version 0.0.23 which is no longer supported and therefore will not work.
Unless the Packagers make a new version you have to compile it yourself.

If it's version 0.0.23, you'll need to update a lot more to do that.

According to [Wikipedia] the Linux-based Acer Aspire One have Linpus Linux Lite installed, which is based on Fedora.
  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

first of all delete that Linpus Linux Chocolate Cupcake. Linpus Linux is for people who like to klick on everything and like to do anything as root(really they have something similar to windows in /root/ with folders like "my images").

@chs1010: first of all read http://linux.oneandoneis2.org/LNW.htm , which means Linux isn't that easy click and run Operating System as Windows, but if you're willing to learn new things it might become quite easy too.

As stated before you have to compile yourself which means: solving all dependencies by either installing the packages through yum or downloading the sources and building them yourself. See http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Dependencies for the files you need to successfully install TMW. Then install the Mana World as stated in the INSTALL file from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/theman ... .27.tar.gz. (see other threads on this forum for hints and manuals)
Use any search engine on how to compile things on Linux and just give it a try!

In the meantime i will try to solve the problem on my AA1 when i have some time. I will then post a complete manual here!
