Caul Consistantly Causes Crash

For two days and at least a half dozen sessions I've tried to get some healing potions from Caul. Every time I try, the NPC window says "Waiting for Server" and never recovers. I can do anything else with no problem but that one thing causes the client to crash every time. Has no one else had this problem?
