Unable to connect to any server

Good morning,

I have just installed the mana world v0.0.29.1 in my ubuntu desktop. I have compiled it from source without any errors and i am unable to connect to any of the servers listed in http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Servers. The computer is connected directly to a router and i actually see the leds flashing when i click the connect button, but the leds stop flashing a couple of seconds after. I don't have any idea of what is causing this problem. Can you help me?

Can you ping server.themanaworld.org?

Is the DNS name translated into an IP address?

Yes it translated into an ip address, but 100% of the packets were lost.

Here is the output:

$ ping server.themanaworld.org

i just figured out that using the windows version with Wine Emulator works very well and i can play. maybe i missed some kind of problem while compiling the source...

Um....sounds more like temporary network problems. The version you compiled should be perfectly usable.
