Character lost

Post by mandrake1983 »

Hi,

my brother had a lvl 30 character. sadly, he clicked on the register button (instead of ok) on the login page (after inputting his name and pass). now his character seems to have dissapeared. his login name is "sheffield" . Can you do anything about that (like repair in the database or so)??

please help, he is really disappointed right now.

regards,
mandrake

Your brother has two accounts, one "sheffield" and one "Sheffield" (notice uppercase). Both have the same password. I guess the character that "disappeared" is in the account with capital as that one seemed to be registered two months earlier.

Sorry for this late reply, heh.

Hmm, that seems like a bad idea allowing case-sensitive usernames. As the game becomes more popular it will be more and more likely for people to take advantage of that "feature" by "impersonating" players/game masters/moderators.

I can understand case-sensitive passwords because that increases security, but case-sensitive usernames have the opposite effect.
