dropped item graphic don't get removed

Sometimes dropped items will not get removed. I believe that the item is gone but the graphic stays. Trying to pick up an item in this state can't be picked up no matter how many times you try. If I'm the one that picks up the item - I will get the item - but the graphic stays on the ground.

Yeah I've experienced the same lately. At first I thought it was lag, but I see they stay there for too much time...

A bit of additional information in case it helps. If you right-click on one of these items, it displays a contextual menu with "Pick up [item name]" (as it should), but the item name is completely unrelated to the displayed item. For example, I got "Pick up apple" for some maggot slime.

for me, it seems to display the correct item name... if my meory serves me correctly, that is.
also, there seems to be a system:
(a) gets spawned, picked up, doesn't diappear
(b) gets spawned, picked up, doesn't diappear, but (a) goes away
(c) gets spawned, picked up, doesn't diappear, but (b) goes away
etc...
