Sorry that my first post is a question

But i want to run tmw without an X server, only in the framebuffer mode

Well, i am able to start it without X, but the colors looks a litle bit ugly. (Brown in the cave looks like this.

Did you consider changing frame buffer mode?
- fb.modes http://bisqwit.iki.fi/source/fbmodes.html
- fbset

Or you can always run tiny X server on framebufer:
- xserver-xfbdev

Or you can add aalib to TMW and play in console :P

The last time I saw someone play tmw over a ssh connection with aalib he couldn't focus the password file correct, but that was a few versions ago so it might even work by now.

wow thats awesome and the first point on the aalib site totaly convinced me:
"Port all important software (like Doom, Second Reality, X windows etc..) on AA-lib." :D

is there a launching option for tmw to use this aalib?
will be a nice thing to play with imo :)

oh, something completely offtopic: if you have more than 1 computer+monitors around you, maybe you want to give Synergy2 a try. it's just perfect to share 1 keyboard and mouse with the other comps and it works perfect(tried with windows and debian). also, you can copy and paste between the machines like it was 1 system(images, text, the whole clipboard).

edit: thats totaly awesome! heres the gallery of some aalib converted images, now imagine that in realtime :D
