Ignore the sword it is just a quick grab.

Edit: oops never mind I'm reading it wrong
Anyways the frames are too evenly spaced and the swing stops mid way.

Huh, what?

You never, ever, ever, swing below the 45 degrees on a long sword blade, EVER.

If you do 3 things will happen,

1.) Your opponent will will come over your blade and cut you in half
2.) You will have to stop power to the blade before contact.
3.) And this it the biggie, you will over extend the swing passed center of gravity.

All three will make a quick victim of you.

The only way you extend it pass 45 is if you do a slash, which would would only look good from the front. This is a chop, not a slash.

And I thought we where limited by 4 frames.

I don't think your actually watching how they move

*His upper body twists as he swings
*He slightly bent over in the last frame
*One foot comes forward as the other is planted
*Shifts his weight

But that is a slash, not a chop. The second is a chop.

I can do a slash, but it will be all body movement

And he does not put the weight on the front foot, that would leave him with zero escape.

A chop wouldn't be ideal for a game like this, most monsters are small....(and that appears to be something you would do against another person)
And I thought we where limited by 4 frames.
That doesn't mean they need to be evenly spaced

ok

I will work on a slash, but to change legs would require the character move forward 1 square, other wise it will look like he is dancing.

Btw, I'm sorry it took me so long to understand the concept of a chop as opposed to a slash. But regardless try to ease in and out

Just trying to understand what needs to be done?

Do I need work on a stationary slash and rotating the blade 45 degrees along the z axis, which would make the blade one or two pixels wide. Or do I need to finish the chop past 45 degrees for the lower monsters, say to 170 degrees?

IF I do a stationary slash, the it would be more of arm work, because of the 1 tile issue.

I am also assuming that I cannot take a step forward.

Sorry never done pixel art before.

Same here, but i see the improvement and it feels more in tune with the game.

You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards
Does anyone know if there is a normal uncut version of the warlord plate? It would be alot easier to add armor if it was possible to have the unedited version. All the ones that I can find are already edited to fit the "normal" back legged thrust.

If it does not exist, is possible not to edit one copy of the future sprites so changing it to match any playerset would be easy? To be honest would take only minutes not to edit them.

To be honest, all arms, legs, chests, heads, and all sprites should be published in nonedited sets.

So far, I can find nothing to show that this is being done.

Everything is pixeled from scratch.
