Here is gemring generic, taking Tengu's simplering21 alteration of my simplering and my alteration of the socket towards a stone. Work can still be better.

These appear to be the ring art winners. They could be fixed more and I invite others to take up the altering or to top it with their own art.

Other art on this thread can also be improved. Any who want to test their skills are invited to make an attempt.

Hi,

there is still an uncut emerald that I was happy with but that nobody else liked: http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... 974#p40974. If it's only contrast that is broken (shouldn't gems be high-contrast and high-saturation to stand out?) maybe someone can fix it quickly?

(Note that the natural shape of other raw gems is very different, so I recommend against re-using it for sapphires, rubies, etc.)

After some review, I came to the conclusion that Crush's generic-gemstone-b, which is already in tmwdata, would best serve for the gemstones. I appreciate other gemstone efforts. My target was one gemstone which would pass as a lump of uncut gem that could be recolored..more of a fantasy gemstone. Though I am using real gemstone names, it is more for color association than passing as real. If we end up getting all uncut gemstone targets with art (diamond, ruby, emerald sapphire, topaz, amethyst), the generic version can be moved out of play in favor of the more realistic versions. If someone wants to beat generic-gemstone-b as the raw recolorable gemstone of choice, feel free to go for it.

I know it's marked as finished, but i stumpled upon that one and took another stab at it, just for fun. If that's an improvement, i see no reason why not to update the players' graphics data with those when the next update happens. The gem is made of pure green tones to be dyed.

ring will be a nice replacement. Can you submit the xml so it would work with all the colors too on items.xml? I'll apply shortly after.
