just tell me what needs to be done in very short sentinces so i can get better far quicker. (this is my first sprite ever so some tips would be appreciated).

Well as it is now it could only be used as conceptual art. If you're interested in adding it to the game you could start creating an inventory item so reducing the size to 32x32 at max.

btw if any of you have noticed there is a Lightnng Sword in a game called Mu but if you compare pictures mine is different in hilt and handle and the prongs are closer together. (i could rename it to Electric Longsword?)

I didn't like the large version that much, but the 32x32 version looks kind of neat.

The reason the 32 x 32 looks better is because i redisigned it... any way i have an icon only version now

Hmm, no

I don't like the blade that much, it's only a white blade with some shining points on it. I'd make it a normal blade with a thunderbolt around it. Of course that's only my taste.

That's the point, while there is no difference at all, png is much smaller than bmp, and has much wider support. It also embeds with the [img] tag, as seen after I edited your post above.

okie just look at the last posts "Icon Version" because ive changed it to a single blade like evlen wants...
also i made a broadsword

Ok way better, but another improvement on blade is necessary, now it seems as if it's rounded and not flat.

just keep posting ideas and watch my images (ill keep updating)

mabe i could make a pike
how could i make it look less round? could i use the broadsword blade and put lightning around it?

I won't use a smooth shading but a central line and flat shading on the sides of the shading, but hey I'm not an artist

also i made a dagger useing some shading stuff too.

erm i want to know 1 thing... is it good im staying with the same theme of handle and hilt or should i try more types?
and is the shading on that dagger right?

ok ive been looking at the item wiki with the sword shading and ive updated my swords with the same shading type (i hope) and overall i think they look loads better. (you can definatly see the difference in the broadsword but LLS i cant really tell)

I have something close to broadband and I don't feel like downloading a image that is 60% white pixels and could be cropped. And about png, Bjorn did answered you already.
