The reference is good exercise. I'm using Len's 70% circles in this pencil drawing. Stick figures to orient a pose.
But these proportions in a 64x64 sprite want to be exaggerated (of course), like the eyes. Maybe more short and stocky for neoteny.
For an MMO, pseudo realism, only exaggerating where practical might interest those who don't want to be represented in a cartoony way.

ok, this is the final idle pose for the outline, may be change a bit, but is a solid start point for the animation.

the hands looks overlapped with body but they are in a different layer.

After a revision and considering the idle position as a relaxed position we decide to change the arms a bit

Edit: fixed minor issue with arm and shoulder width.
Edit2: turning body to the front and balancing

I can't tell before seeing a sprited version and not just the outline.

Although it's not like I demand to have a say on the graphic design of TMW at the moment.
