I decided to make a matching set of icons for ALL skills, and came up with this style.

They're Magic and Nature Magic. Anyway, I still haven't thought of anything for Focus or Mallard's Eye... when I do, I'll make them in this style (depending on what people think of it).

Chicka, try to say that in one post?

@Poison_ivy : Amazing, could you try to add the 'pixel art' touch on other old icons? It will fit much tmw than the original one imo, keep the good work, you suprised me on these icons ^^.

I didn't saw your magic icon, look promising too.
Maybe you could use the circle from enchilado's icons? also, maybe contrast is to much up on your one, the flower is to much pixelised and the herb color is maybe to much dark than the flower one?

Just my ideas, I shut down now ^^

PS : Anti-aliasing!!

Thats how that specific flower happens to look if you must know and PS : anti-aliasing I KNOW HOW TO PIXEL DAMN IT. I posted wips I was going to add shine and extra effects to my icons after they were complete. I did not mention this but sense everyone is so damn quick to judge I might as well now.

@gor

its not a very hard icon to come up with. and its not exacly the same.

@meway

its very detailed but it looks a little to detailed, it would maybe be better if icons were simpler.

it's not exactly the same but the idea is the same.
There is nothing new in that icons, the effort to make such icons is nothing, it's a mere copy with some adjustment.

Drawing the icon is not hard, the difficult part lies in the idea, i did this one in just 10 minutes

very nice icon,
but the point is poison's icon is not exacly the same so he should be acused of copying unless he says himself he did :P

Worked on the magic icon, trying to make it more obvious as to what it was: Image

If anyone else wants to make matching icons, start with a 28x28 circle of a colour that has a Saturation of 55 and a Value of 75. Then:

Borders have 100 Saturation and a Value of 33.
The inside of the icon has 100 Saturation and a Value of 66.
Highlights on the icon have 100 Saturation and a Value of 100.
Shadows on the icon have 100 Saturation and a Value of 45.

At first this will look far too saturated, but once you have drawn the icon on a 32x32 canvas paste this over the top.

you are free to think what you want and i am free to do the same.
he didn't copy because he didn't say that :) you can go on believing that.
It's better that we concentrate about the topic.

Good grief, a wand with stars coming out of it is the most-used icon for magic ever invented. I'd hardly expect anyone to think I came up with the idea. However, I most definitely did not copy it from any specific icon. And the leaf is simply the nature icon on the first page of this thread redrawn in this style because I want to make all the icons match.

I didn't originally draw these to be used, but to test the style. And then they came out looking okay so I thought I might as well post them here.

Gor, your tree icon represents nature quite well (though, as with the leaf, it has nothing to do with magic) and looks okay, but it does use checkerboard dithering (though that can be hard to avoid when drawing something that size). Do you think you could give it a border and shading the same as mine and we can see what it looks like then?
