better. Great job! Updating item's icons is good, please continue meway!
I consider short comments like these spam. Updating item's icons was only necessary at this time for these graphics. I appreciate comments from crush because even if they are short they are to the point. AliG no offense but please stop spamming the development section of the forum.

Any respond to this post should be done by pm but please continue discussing the thread.
Chicka this goes for everyone. You don't need to keep repeating everything enchilado says and it would be appreciated if you didn't. ANYTHING IN RESPONSE SHOULD BE PM ABOVE THIS POINT..............................................................................

Added A petal. I redrew it only bigger.

I like the old pedal :P and also meway i didnt say everything he said, i disagreed with him on the leather patch.

personally i think the old things should be left alone, and new graphics should be worked on.

While not bad pixel-art, I think the original size was much better.

Hi meway, It seems like your intention is to change all remaining old 16x16 items to 32x32. This is definitely a good idea.

But just a thought: maybe it would be a good idea to intentionally keep some items to 16x16 as a visual clue to the user. Like having all unusable loot items in 16x16 and all usable or equipable items in 32x32.

What do you think about that?

+1 for crush for great ideas

hmmm.... I would need to make the pearl bigger. Shouldn't we make use of all items?

My definition of "usable" is "usable from the inventory".

Selling loot items is the main source of income for the players, so there will always (and must be) items which are pure vendor trash. But we can not foresee which items which are vendor trash today will be required for a quest tomorrow. So I would prefer to make the distinction between usable items an non-usable items by whether or not they can be used from the inventory.

This actually makes allot of sense.currently I would consider coins and coin bag vendor trash atm.

I will continue remaking everything because we can hand pick what we like if we are going to use the new at all. I'm using this for pixel practice pretty much but it also provides a few opportunities to have a choice in graphics with our fork community.

Edit: Added a more curved hard spike.

I dislike this idea, if you can't use an item it should be removed from the game or a functionality should be implemented.

Even though I am a traditional elitist I welcome replacing the 6+ year old graphics with something more 2011ish.

Meway, the first three items you redid were really well improved. However, the other ones are not good, I mean the old icons are better.

Suggestions:
  • Redo the Animal Bones
  • Improve the Yeti Tear
  • Redo the Yeti Claw
  • Improve/Redo the Ice Cube
  • (a bit off-topic) Please look at the graveyard building (the one that makes you enter the crypt) in the tiles folder, I think it has a lot of pixels that don't fit
Keep it up Meway,
Ali-G

I agree with all those you suggested, Ali-G, and would like to add that Iron Ingots and the herbs could be redone as well. In fact, it might be interesting if each of the herbs had its own type of leaf.

I am recreating all graphics. There is a reason I am making the spike bigger. I don't care that some of these graphics don't appeal as much as the original. I will first finish items. Go on to monsters or clothes and LASTLY I will be redoing tiles. If you don't like a graphic because the art is shitty let me know. If you don't like a graphic simply because it does not match the old style of the game calm down I don't need to know and don't care. This is something I will point out being wrong with this forum. Nobody gives you a chance. PM's please if your going to respond to this off topic post.

@chicka and aliG thanks for the useful suggestions this time. I will try and reshape the spike and aliG I will put those first on my list to go. as well as enchilado's additions. Accept I'm not making individual herbs or adding to the items folder until all items are remade.
