I think the doctor looks a bit weird, what happened to his hair and chin? Another thing I noticed is that the doctor clearly has lost the alpha blending on the sides, make sure you don't loose that.

Overall I think you're doing a very nice job on these sprites.

Bonjour,

I have done one test for a npc, I have used the player tileset.

It's a road warrior, a sky pirate (hum ?) or a desert nomad,

I have given her the name of "Ivy" but the name can change, it's open source.:

for this, I have just begin, I would like to know if you have in project to use portraits for the npc later.. when they talk with the player, the text windows could be accompagned by the npcs face.

Well, In any case, if you are always interested by somes help in graphism, I will.

The idea of npc portraits hasn't been mentioned yet as far as i know, but it isn't a bad one. That would be a completely new field of activity for our pen&pencil artists. But here i see the problem of style consistency to an even greater degree. There is nothing that shows the distinctive style of an artist more than the way he draws faces.

then may be later, for the version 1.0.0, when the artists could concentrate their efforts on this. :)

Edit :

I have done somes items in relation with the npc, I will do somes others caracteristic npc of this people, but the common people should be the common playerset with random hair and the desert people kit (see below).

a desert people.

the player could find all he have need for to be one of them (in apparence only).

there :

first I have done the cottonpant who doesn't exist I think.

Imagearmor-legs-cottonpant.png

and I have done a first test of the desert people kit items

the glass.. useful against the storm sand ..

just a test on the playerset

I really like desert-glasses, maybe they should be a bit more squared though as in the portrait. If you can create a sheet for the 4 directions we could add it.

ok, I have done something of more square :
Imageand I have done this :

sorry, but I don't know how to place like this :

I have done too, an other npc of the same people:

their flag :

and a weird red sheep (wool uses for their clothes).

If you are inspired for improve this, or just for use and do anything else, don't hesitate.

Edit : their are a little error with the glass, the back can't be curve. but should be right or like that : Image

Sorry, but the style doesn't fit at all and it is too big.
and a weird red sheep (wool uses for their clothes).

You seem to like the color ;)

I think it is too big, too. the player sprites can almost stand under it.

So, we are never going to have giants in the game?

Regards.

Of course we can have monsters that are larger than a normal player sprite, but it should look somehow believeable when the player sprite attacks it.
