since enchilado has sadly left us and i know you guys are always eager for new artists, i've decided to let you guys use some of my art on the condition that you make me the new art lead. this is my latest masterpiece, called "elegant warrior with a sword in F minor"
i know it's a bit above and beyond the call, but i've recently humbled myself and decided that i can help since i've finally hit 99. it's licensed under the same licensing agreement that apple uses for it's products except that i'm licensing it to tmw and i'm not apple and simultaneously licensed under the cc by nc license.

since i don't work for free and this is absolutely a masterpiece, i'll accept $13 for the piece.
since it's already a foregone conclusion that i'll be the new art lead, you can start paying me immediately.
my art displays one of a kind genius not seen since the likes of Stephen King or Dan Akroyd or even that guy who wrote the bible.
think about the alternative: meway or ali-g as art lead.
let me say that again:
meway or ali-g as art lead
is that a world you want to live in?
i'd rather have a used sock as the new art lead.

I think there is too much detail in the body! But i like it.

Yeah, you're dangerously close to outclassing our current graphics. You have to realize, this is a 2d game, and your technique makes it look almost 3d, which may not fit in this game. You may need to.... downgrade it. :cry:

Not to be serious or anything, but is doing without an art lead really a good idea? It helps people starting out when they have somebody particular to ask questions, or in situations where artists are conflicted, to have somebody to make a final call. I could care less how the art team organizes itself, this just seems like an issue waiting to happen later to me.

Anyways, now that that's said and done.... I can't wait to fight "elegant warrior with a sword in f minor" in game soon! loool :lol:

An art lead needs acceptance of the people and artists.
And I am pretty sure, we all respect yourmistakes as a player.
But now that he delivered a masterpiece of finest art, I'd also accept him and his judgement on the pixelart.

So yourmistakes: Keep the people motivated and recruit even more since we do need the high quality similar as you provided here.
It is important to also chat with other people such as content creation planners or script writers, so the art provided will be useful.

What is you next step? are you finishing the playerset 1.5?

You've assuaged my worries that TMW would have no artists who really knew anything about pixel art, and I'm now fully confident that it will be a better-looking game without me (not to mention that things will actually get drawn). I guess I won't have to lurk anxiously around the forums now. :D

Brilliant! Love the detail involved and just look at those textures. If mistakes doesn't get the job I'm quitting.
