[WIP] Sunglasses for the game
Re: [WIP] Sunglasses for the game
It needs to be adjusted though, you can see the eyes in the standing positions, and they look a little too dark (and isn't the highlight supposed to be on the left side?)

Re: [WIP] Sunglasses for the game
They are pure black, Have no outline, The texture does not appear as if it were glass, The shape of them is a <> not O (not sure if thats intended) although there not a bad start IMO.
Re: [WIP] Sunglasses for the game
Here's my version of them. Just a couple quick fixes that took a few secs. in gimp.
Avoid Pure black at all costs. A VERY dark Grey should be used instead. Don't be afraid of using semi-transparent pixels to add effect.

Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. Has anybody seen this princess I'm looking for?

I like your version of the sunglasses merlin. Also, irukard told me some time ago that we could make them a bit transparent. I think it would be nice to make a degrade of transparency in the lenses

Re: [WIP] Sunglasses for the game
hmm I like the black ones better, if there was a place to use black...this would be the image
also obviously, you can not have an outline on 1 pixel wide lines. as in side and rear views
so if the forward and death frames are black, by definition they do have an outline.
posting this to clarify some seemly confusing terms.
These could be made to dye, I think the players would welcome color choices in large sunglasses
This image would only need 2 color channels to keep the black lens and a frame color.
wombat has pioneered a 6 color dye palette so highlights and outline could use 2 more channels, if needed untamed monkey, you can get a feel for this by downloading this palette and using gimp>colors>hue-saturation.
select one hue at a time and adjust the hue slider.
The dying is done using the xml file, but the gimp method above will give you a way to preview the image.

Re: [WIP] Sunglasses for the game
Yhea I was thinking that back when I did the sunglasses I did. I should make them dyeable. Also I didn't do any highlight on them. I'll probably re-do them again.

Pure black? I doubt that it is a good idea.
I made the xml, I didn't test it but I guess it should work. Keep me informed if it doesn't.
