[WIP] Food Icons - Vegetables

Post by enchilado »

I'm currently working on icons for 32 different vegetables and would appreciate comments and criticism of any kind.

Here they are in their current state:

It'd be helpful if anyone could try to identify each and then let me know how recognisable they all are. The list:
Spoiler:
Cabbage, celery, kale, lettuce, broccoli, asparagus, leek, spinach.

Tomato, pumpkin, eggplant/aubergine, zucchini/courgette, cucumber, corn, butternut squash, capsicum/(bell) pepper.

Garlic, onion, beetroot/beet, potato, ginger, turnip, radish, carrot.

Broad/fava bean, snow pea, cauliflower, sweet potato, dulse, avocado, mushroom, kholrabi.

♥ Awesome work! ♥
I didn't need the spoiler, except for kale, kholrabi (which I thought to be celeriac or fennel), and dulse which I didn't know.
remarks:
  • courgette, cucumber, brocoli, leek: I see the green darker and bluer for the two last ones
  • leek: the lower part could be whiter
  • Asparagus: we have different ones here (they are grown out of light and cut very young)
Something like this:

I am aware of that, and cook both I just mean that, in France, the green asparagus is cultivated so it is almost white in your plate. So we have this one more in mind. :)
I find Enchi's work releasable as is, my remarks are just improvements according to my personal taste. There are about 10 species afaik.
