Re: [WIP] New Monster
Looking good
The secret to getting all the important stuff done is doing nothing.
Re: [WIP] New Monster
Amazing but I would fix the perspective
Re: [WIP] New Monster
It's a good start. There are some problems with the perspective however. It is shown to much from the top. I would expect to see more of the belly, and the hidden legs.
Re: [WIP] New Monster
I'll try to fix the perspective during the weekend, I have no much time during the weekdays, I'll add some belly as in the concept and try to show some legs, but it can't be that much, also, once the monster concept is done, I'll find a name for it and change the topic as [REQ] so some one with more experience and skill can animate it (hopefully).
Re: [WIP] New Monster
Wow. Great start!
I can't wait to see this in game. Any ideas of where it should go? looks like some kind of jungle/swamp kind of creature imo.

Re: [WIP] New Monster
In case anyone is interested, here is the file, it has only two layers, the frame and the color, so the frame can be used for animation, then the color as a guide for finishing.

yes, much nicer.
The secret to getting all the important stuff done is doing nothing.
Re: [REQ] Animation for 'Gwyllgi'
I named = 'Gwyllgi' that means 'Twilight Dog'
Good, now we need the animation.
My part is done, As I mentioned before, I'm not capable of creating the animation, but it should be possible for a pixel artist contributor take it from here.

Your shading is completly wrong on your new model and the perspective used on your first try wasn't that bad at all, it just needed some fix here and there.
If you accept to licence it under CC BY-SA 3.0 and to complete some other directions I might give it a try.
NB: guys it's a 45 degree aerial view, not a front one.

Re: [REQ] Animation for 'Gwyllgi'
That might be true, but a lot of sprites suffer that the perspective is too much front view and not 45 degree aerial view. Some example are: The player, Mouboo, and the Snail. Therefore it would be IMO out of place if this sprite was really 45 degree.

Re: [REQ] Animation for 'Gwyllgi'
+1 for correct perspective:
45° perspective
sun in south west
no reason to ignore these ...
to get perspective right its a helpful tool to use blender anyway
