[DIS] Shields as visible items
I used a workaround to display the shield graphics like if these were gloves:
To get that, I did a "placeholder spritesheet" for the leather, wood and steel shields and tryed to add these graphics to current shield items:

But as it's a workaround, it obviously got problems .
I test them as gloves since I don´t know how to code the XML using the "equip-shield" value without get some error on item or displaying the graphics. I'm not sure if is a limitation or bad coding in xml.
I would like to know if the shields can be configured through XML files as a visible graphic layer ingame, or if there's some kind of limitation in the client or tmwa for that.

It can be configured in xml, but not sure is server can send sprite for it.
Some shield look like exists, but without sprites, for example item601_SteelShield.xml
Shield slot can be drawed in wrong order, then need reorder sprites. See in page http://manaplus.org/items.xml#game_items attributes drawBefore/drawAfter

There is space I believe open in the server packets that send gear Ids.
Also, +1 to visible shields.

It would appear 0x01d8 & 0x01d9 & 0x01da sends shield or has shield considered when sending a packet.
