I'd take it further than random and make "jump", "sing" and "sleep" dependant on player actions around it, kinda like Confused Tree.
Example:
/ "Hello Bird" = JUMP
/ "Sing, birdie!" = SING
/ "Goodnight" / Variants of goodnight = SLEEP

Hi +seeds,
pretty cute work you did! I was just wondering if we need to make this Piou actually sit on the wood stand. It might be easier and maybe much more flexible if we did just the two or three sprites and locate them where we need it with offset. Same with notes and sleeping, we might prepare this as accessoires so it can be used by various NPCs or so..? Just a thought, that is.

Do you mean I should make the pious seperate from the wood stand?

Coooool.
Maybe we can add them all to the game and have a quest to collect them all. Well not a quest per say but maybe badges. You get the rainbow piou badge for them hehehe. And a special rainbow attack, group xp booster or group healing for it hehehe.
