But this is a topic for another thread. For now we should discuss the question which version to use. Should we use Bobs version with the one color dithering or my version with the shaded dithering? For comparing:

male unshaded dithering
male shaded dithering

female unshaded dithering
female shaded dithering

Well...I looked at them both, and they both look pretty good. I think my original looks a little more like chainmail, while the shaded approaches a gray shirt appearance at times. Maybe we should do a poll? And btw, I went ahead and changed my username to The Judge, as to avoid confusion. Because even I was getting confused.

I think with increased shininess the original would look best. It already looks better then the softly dithered one.
Is it me or is the female version darker?

yes, the dithering of the female version is slightly darker.

In the female version, the shading below the breast line is too dark as if the chainmail is a second skin, which shouldn't be the case. The shading in chainmail should look similar to these:

I agree also that the shading is too sharp and too dark. Btw I like the unshared dithering somewhat better.

YEEAAHHHH! Made it through to the other side. I'll get the modified chainmail up sometime tomorrow. One month off is gonna be nice....*sighs*....

*Update to anyone who cares: I am not neglecting the chainmail. I just am rather busier than I expected. Soon. Been to busy even to hardly play the game...and that's sad.

Alright. After too long of a delay, I present the modified female chainmail, which now matches the male in brightness/contrast better than the old, and the shadows look better too, if I do say so myself.

Why did you remove the highlights at the breasts? I think they now look more like hanging man boobs now.

K first of all, I like the back boobs too. I really don't want to take them off...but if I must. And as far as an intact alpha channel...that means nothing to me. I guess that means I save the .png as interlaced versus not, just a guess. But gimme a minute and I'll get that up.

Ummm, I added some highlights, took the silicone out of the back, and hopefully there's alpha channels in this one. If not, I'll need to know how to do that.

The alpha channel is the transparency. Do you see the white background? It shouldn't be there.
