Ah yes, much better Crush. That is actually just about exactly what I was thinking of. :) I was going to have Madcap work on those bricks, but he's been gone for months, so I see no reason Axl and Eman can't work on them instead. ;) So yes, try working off of Crush's concept, but feel free to experiment! :)

new approach...

well, using the tiles you kindly gave me (thanks a lot for that) i did this new approach to the "Temple Entrance" still lack of proper shading, items in the floor, some cracks and the door (even the torch is not generating any light :) but i would like to show you this new effort and if you like it well i'll continue with this idea...

Wrong perspective.

btw don't worry about flame effect from torches. Crush's particle engine will handle it without any problems.

Yeup, Irukard is right. Not 100% mathematically right, but still right nonetheless. Anyways, yes, we could all use a brush-up on perspective, so why don't you try to come to the IRC more often Axl? :)

As your advice, i went to the IRC and what they said is they are still working on the cleanup and they aren't sure about if this temple idea is going to be used or not and they don't have any assignments in wich i can help now, but anyway i'll try to finish my temple idea, may be in the future we can use it (the whole or even part of it).
Pauan: Do you have any idea in wich i can work with ? or should i continue the "temple" ?

even if your temple idea won't be used you will gain experience in pixel-art and that's good.... if u don't feel like finishing your temple idea, try something different.

please try to keep perspective ratio. its quite important thing when we want to use your tiles among the others. And it isn't possible when perspective is different.

Perspective is still off. Here, tell ya what... The main problem is the top. Try increasing the roof's height by about... oh, 7 pixels should do it. By increasing the size of the roof, it will help with perspective. Right now it looks like the column's start out ok at the bottom, but then they curve away from the viewer. Adjusting the roof may or may not fix that problem, but I know it will help. Also, the column's base doesn't look circular. Was that done on purpose? Likewise for the torch-spheres. A tip: use the elliptical select tool to see if your pixel art is 100% circular. It works very well, at least if you are going for a circular shape. Also, there is no dividing line between the wall and the floor. Yes, there is a one pixel dark line separating them, but that does not seem like enough. Try putting some dithered specks of dirt at the base of the wall, that will help to separate it from the floor. Also, I assume you are using layers, in which case I recommend making a new layer and putting 30% black shadows behind the columns. This will also help with the perspective. :)

Who told you that? Let me guess, d4be?

We will have at least one desert for sure and i don't believe that we won't find any space in it for a temple-themed dungeon. Continue with it, i am pretty sure we will have use for it.

That dark texture was meant to be a floor texture, not a wall texture.

I don't think that plants growing at walls fit into an ancient desert temple environment.

No matter what Dave agrees on or not, I can almost guarantee there will be a sandstone temple. And even if there isn't, I CAN guarantee your tiles will be put to good use, so as Crush said, please do continue with it. :)

thanks for your support, im really happy to be part of this effort, and i'll continue even if you ban me hehehe :) but lets forget about that and continue working...i think i got a solution for the arc bending problem, also im trying to build something like Irukard suggestion, and,

1. adding darker lines in the bottom wall
2. adding some sand in the bottom wall
3. adding sand to the column base (by the way, yes the colum base is not circular is kind of six sides shape)
4. improving the shades in the arc

i think ill finish in about one hour
