Modanung outdoor proposal

Image

I'll use this base plus my tower proposal to create something for close-to-the-temple zone and temple entrance

3rd concept (less Dragon more snake)

i believe this will work better with the 2d walls
to blend the snake into the wall a little better, maybe add some brick textures on the bottom of the neck and have it fade into a more smooth surface.
ill try something like that
EDIT: A thought just hit me! Why not make the snake into a mini-boss or enemy? It would be fascinating to see it writhing inside the wall trying to bite players as they walk by. Smile

By the way Axl, that lamp is looking MUCH better since you fixed the perspective. :)

Oh, and Len, the snake is definitely pulling together! I must say I like this version quite a bit!

I am currently undecided on the outdoor entrance and will wait until I can judge it in a more artistic rather than conceptual manner.

Honestly - I would see that snake emerging from the floor.

Regards.

Well, ive never seen Evermore before, the Snake was intended to be just a statue in the entrance from the original concept :) , like this

Image

As you can see i wanted to form a Snake head with the two snakes at the entrance like this

ImageImage

I really like what do we have right now, your contribution has been really positive it gives life to the whole thing.

But still I would like to see options like two snake heads statues in the temple entrance as i imagine from the beginning.

lol, i must be going insane for some reason i was thinking monster
it should be easy to adapt
Image
(super quick concept) only in the real one ill have their mouths open

i can also have them twist around a poll or have it closer to your original image
ImageImage
i can also have the snakes bodys threading in and out along the out side of entrance

Yea, I had that planned. This was a very early concept.

Len, I was the one who suggested it be a monster/boss, so you were not totally off. Indeed I think it would be great to have a snake monster/boss within the dungeon. However, right now our focus is on the main entrance.

Also, I really like your concept Yosuhara! I do think that would fit quite perfect.

About as far as i can open the mouth without staring over "I'm lazy".
Only problem is a snake's fangs usually do not come out of that skin thing in their mouths unless its fully open. :?
