Then it only leaves the issues of detail level decisions, shading and texturization.

So far so good.
This message used to be meaningful.

Definitely better, an amazing work to me.
I guess it's planned but I'd state it as a reminder: the sand should blend with the wall instead of having a definite border

Hmm... Is it inside a temple? It seems kind of strange to have sand inside a building.

Even if it is a temple in desert, it should have ground basis. Does it even make sense to build on sand? It will crumble against it own weight.

No problem. It may be a good idea remove the wavy pattern on the ground and the commulated sand next to the funitures if it is indoor. You can make the ground sandstone based if you want, just like in the picture you have attached.

The floor doesn't have to be made of sand. There could be sand moved inside the temple on top of the floor. Either accidentally or on purpose to hide traps.
I think it would be best to have both sand and floor tiles.

I like this idea the most, it would be part sand part tile patterns, I'll work in something later

I actually preferred the sand version despite of stability issues. This one rather looks like flat stones placed on sand more than a stone floor with some sand on it.

I think the transition from sand to stone should be improved and there should be the possibility to have parts that are entirely covered with sand.
