everything's so brownish, I would suggest to color snake towards grey (maybe with a tint of blue) like it's made from different kind of stone or something....
well....i hope it does make sense..

I had hoped the temples development had progressed a little farther than it has. But we can't rush perfection

Then the entrance concept version is nice, but that second version is not. Maybe this would help:

The shading of the snake looks really strange.

It's very nice but the shading seems a little unfinished

Hey, maybe something like that could be used as part of the entrance of the desert temple. I think it looks cool.

Ok, a new version of the entrance snakes, I used Len's new version of sand, change a little bit the light, changed the light reflection in the snakes and snakes heads colors, but still not convinced, heh

you're heading the right way with pillar (imho), but i don't understand snake's shading.. looks like they're a little pillow-shaded to me...also they need some texture-try to add scales or something.. Keep up the good work!
PS: next time, try to use edit button

The shading on the snakes does still look strange. Where is the light source?

Some column variations
Edit: trying to create a better contrast

Nice. I would give the breakage of the 2nd column a dithering with more contrast so that it looks more structured.
